Nati Bowman is a native Lodian with a lifelong passion for service and making the world a better place. Her commitment to helping others has never wavered, from volunteering as a child at the East Side’s no kill animal shelter to founding the nonprofit, Partners for International Cooperation (PIC), which aids organizations in becoming 501(c)3s and has funded a solar powered farm in Kenya, to establishing The Commons Community Center right here in District 4 with a food pantry, clothing closet, and home deliveries during COVID-19, Nati walks her talk. She believes in the power of individual and collective actions put to good use locally to create a thriving community.

Her work as Clerk of the Board for Tracy Rural County Fire Protection District gives her a deep understanding of public entities and knowledge of our beautiful San Joaquin County. A survivor of domestic violence, Nati is also Court Appointed Special Advocate supporting and mentoring the foster youth of San Joaquin County. Her work in her father’s law firm representing folks hurt by unpaid wages, discrimination and sexual assault reflects a lifelong commitment to justice and to her family. She is mom to two wonderful teens, her service dog, Jade, and a very fluffy kitty. Her life partner is a physical therapist assistant working in home health to assist the elderly, injured, and disabled in their recovery.
